The little Chevy wants to be seen like Jr. It's a little jealous.
This is how I found it at a car show.

The first thing I did was cut out the spot welds and send the face off to be chromed.

My son braised it back on for me.

Next the fun part making mold and casting parts. plaster for the metal and rubber for the plastic parts. Steering wheel was a bought item.

The tail light area had to be built up and trunk lid made.

Trying it all on to see if it will work.

The little steering wheel....and the full size one.

Thank you guys. I will try and get this finished this morning. It is hard not to show my work off when every one is so kind to me.

This was a old ratchet handle and a shelf bracket. My son helped by grinding the handle down and silver soldering it together for me when it was ready. I cut a slot in the body and slid the wings through. He was so proud of it that he showed it off at work. He also is the painter on this one.

http://i731.photobucket.com/albums/ww317/car_junky2000/1955%20%20pedal%20car/cheby010_zps791ce178.jpg (http://s731.photobucket.com/user/car_junky2000/media/1955%20%20pedal%20car/cheby010_zps791ce178.jpg.html)

I sanded the chrome where I wanted the paint to go. Always get excited when it is time for paint.

Who owned the big one?

Billy it belongs to the show director of the St Ignace show. It is a wonderful all original inside and out. Ed Revie. He ordered the little Chevy to go with his but I ran over his budget. I told him I would give him a price after it was finished but he did not have to buy it. So all was good.

The over-riders are just shined metal with a clear sealer. Only the face is chrome. Little trim pieces are cut from aluminum and bolted on.

Rear area is made from the body filler with fiber hairs in it and built up in layers.

Thanks glad you like my work.
