These showed this morning Lee, last piece to the puzzle !! (new rod bolts). Will drop them off to machine shop tomo so they can resize the big ends then we can get on and put it all together. Those bolts took ages to arrive.

Yeah Dean, I ordered them early on but I got a message weeks later saying they'd been dispatched.

I've been working away again and a little holiday in Cornwall.

If all comes off.... I'll be in Cleveland in a couple of months time, hopefully I can hand my notice in within the next fortnight.

I should be able to participate here more often again if all goes to plan.

BTW Lee....I have not forgotten your GE headlight. It's still in my stash of car parts, at the bottom of a big box. I had to mothball my Christine project to work on the house towards the end of last year and am still struggling to get back onto it.

Anyway, it has your name on it....and will get to you eventually.

    ...excellent.. cheers Geoff.

She's up on stilts at the moment, hopefully Dean and I will get to a show nearby in August.

Dean reckon's they've got a drive in movie screen there and are showing Christine on the big screen.

We'll have to park up front.

    Just a little up-date.

Dean's been working steadily on my engine and several required parts have been shipped out to him recently.

Dean is calling in on Saturday to collect my heads to finish the engine rebuild off and has ordered engine paint so things are really coming together now.

I'll drive her for a year and then try and get some money together to sort out some paint issues.

Dean had a very rough year last year and I know things are still pretty difficult and busy for him.

Cheers Dean, I appreciate all the help mate.

Where are you up to with the engine Lee?? Rebuilding a V8 looks very hard, but it is really only a matter of being a large amount of small and simpler tasks. First engine I ever stripped was a Stag V8 and I followed the workshop manual to every letter. Took me 4 months to complete, but nothing I did went wrong.

Perhaps you could get involved in the job yourself?

Dean serviced and MOT'ed my wife's little Ford for me a couple of weeks ago, I popped in for a chat and saw the progress.

It all looks excellent, aiming to make a local show with Dean in September.

It's the solo effort to drink it dry that worries us.
