Just had to shout out again in favour of dealing with John Fowlie....
The valance John sent me was fabulous. The steel has no rot and cleaned up 99% as good as new. Only one minor ding which was easily sorted.
You get an added bonus when you buy off John.....vintage packing materials!!! Some of the newspapers he wrapped my parts in were nearly 20 years old! How's THAT for period detailing!!! None of that off Rock Auto!!
Jeeez John, storing 20 year old newspaper must make your place a serious fire hazzard!!![]()

LMAO, Geoff!!
I do have newspapers in my office that go way back, but now that you cannot buy any newspapers with real news in them here, I've been using all the older ones up for packing.
But seriously, glad you're happy with the parts.

Build it yourself, then at least you know it will be right.
1998 probably reminds John of the last time he had his hair cut and beard trimmed....obviously before the recent change of face.
(I reckon John sold The Mob some dodgy parts for their big black Cadillac and he's now in disguise).

Here's a walk around video from my recent visit with John and M'Lisa at the Big M.
I can totally say it was the highlight of my trip to America and can't wait to get back there.
If it's an ambulance
You've got a chance
But if it's a hearse
It's gotta be worse.

An afternoon of beers and horse shoes was great fun

And then after dark we cranked up the Wurlitzer

Watched the Videos on facebook when you firs loaded them, Looks like you had a awesome time at John's..
JOHN - YOU MISSED YOUR CHANCE OF REAL FAME!!!!!
Classic American car magazine in the UK has a monthly article by a guy called Will Shiers who travels round the USA photographing old wrecked cars and visiting scrap yards. Last summer he did a road trip taking in some of the best yards in California. He turned up at your office AND your yard but both were closed. So the write up shows your premises, but no 'Hairy Fowlie Monster'!!!!!
He did give you a nice mench' though. I expect you were on one of your own road trips with the truck and trailer at the time.
Every time I read one of Will's road trips I always say "Shoulda gone the Big M's". I've even emailed him and Ben over the years suggesting an article on Ole J F....and he missed his chance.
Gutted!

Thanks for letting me know, Geoff.
I try to tell folks to set up an appointment ahead, as I do not have regular business hours.,
