1949 Ford Pickup F1 being restored at Plymouth Rock.

I always admired the old Pickups I've seen in UK car shows and I know my ol' Dad (and his brother) always fancied themselves as good old boys driving one.

John Fowlie of BigM auto told me he had a great old Ford and the price was too good to ignore.

Having done business with John before, I knew he'd look after me and not long after this little beauty was sitting alongside my soon to be Christine, down at Plymouth Rock in TN.

Here she is with Miss July 2009:

Hog came up with the idea of painting "Darnel's Auto Wreckers" in the theme of Christine, but I'm not sure whether to do that or reproduce the old decals on the door.

    I stumbed across this:

I've picked up a few more bits for her including a windshield visor.

$$$$$$'s got some great antique wood for the "bed".

I've asked him to extend the wood on the sides like this too:

I thought the painted extended wood looked good but would prefer $$$$$$ use the Antique Chestnut if possible:

I now finally saw this thread and I like the truck, my dad is trying to find an old Ford truck about older than 60 like that himself which he used to get them for around 50-200 bucks back when he was younger.

Yes he is, we have some work to do still on the agenda so my dad is taking his time looking especially after he just retired and we are getting a new AC for the new house which the old one was gutted out before we got it by some thieves or someone for the Copper and all then we have to build a garage then get a truck.

Cool, I like to have any truck but my dad is looking at Fords only and hopfully one without floor problems other than a wood bed floor which is easier to fix.

Once the Christine's are finished, $$$$$$'s starting work on my Pickup.

I'm hoping she'll look something like the picture following.

She needs a decal on the door.

I was considering $$$$$$'s Plymouth Rock design of he gives me permission to use it:
