    Hello from London

    Hi all

Just wanted to introduce myself and say hello. I am, of course, a big Christine fan and have been since I read the book and saw the film in 1984. I don't own a Christine or a Plymouth and it's possible I never will, but I can dream and that's good enough. I hope everbody's well out there. Nice to meet you.

Hi Doc, and welcome to the club! If you want a Christine bad enough, I'm sure you'll get one. Patience and persistence is key. You have to be looking out for them, and someday you'll find the right one for the right price.

Hi Doc......I'm in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. There are a couple of members here from the south-east, and a handful of others from the rest of the UK. Christines and Plymouths are very rare in the UK nowadays.

Doesn't matter what you drive, or even wish for, this is a great car forum. And lots of other interests besides.

Come on, don't say things like that! When I registered here I absolutely had no money to buy a classic car, now I have some but...the prices have gone crazy, it's two times harder to find a HT in decent condition, our currency is weak etc. So it's an uphill battle but worth sacrifice.

    Regards from Poland

    mate.

    We're are you?

I live in Colchester, only about 40 mins for London.

My Christine isn't too far away from you.

Thanks Lee. I live near Wimbledon, South West London. Are you taking her to any shows this summer? I've been looking for one to go to. The usual show I enjoy at Brooklands isn't on this year it seems. Last year it was all Mustangs anyway. I like a Pony as much as the next man but I like my 50s cars even more.

    (An addition !)

Okay, so just been browsing the forum and realised you're the same Lee from the Classic American article ! I loved that piece and love the car. It's - as they say - cherry. Fantastic job on the restoration.

Incidentally, Classic American also is a bit Mustang-centric these days....

Lee is one of our founding fathers here on this board. He's a great guy, I am fortunate to have met him years ago!

Thanks for the encouraging words from Poland. It's not the price of the cars (well, it is, really) but it's also the size of the roads where I live ! Have to move somewhere roomy before I can think of owning one.

That's me Doc, Clive was the other guy on the cover too.

Brookland's is run by the CAAC club I think.

I'm a member of the CAAC but it's too far for me to get down to easily.

Thanks Pete, would be great to do something like that again some day.
