Glad your back and enjoying life Chris.

This weekend, I masked and painted the lower grill without removing the bumper or chrome strips. Krylon makes a color spraypaint that is remarkably close to the original Plymouth color, "Torreador Red".
Gloss Banner Red is Available at Lowe's Hardware.

Visited Arnie Cunningham's house (filming location) this weekend. The owner came out and was super nice.

Hey! my car has been in the shop getting the transmission rebuilt and it's been three weeks - UGH. Should be done next week. They're also replacing a bad leak at the oil pan gasket, but the mechanic says they have to lift the engine off the mounts to replace the gasket. Does that sound correct?

Hey Chris,
The answer about lifting the engine off the mounts is yes. Not a big deal to do. Removing a couple of nuts that attach the mounts to the frame. An adjustable screw jack should be placed under the vibration dampener to push the engine up should do the trick.

Transmission rebuilt! My seals were all hardened and non functional, making shifting into 3rd and reverse impossible. Also, I recently got Manos' (from Greece) bumper wings chromed and mounted. Highly recommend these, but the rears can be tricky to mount.

Oh wow! She looks great! Bumper wings really do make a big difference.
So how much for chroming?

I paid $400 for the set to be spray chromed, but am not happy with the local shop I used. I highly recommend my usual shop CoatofChrome.com Don Pirre is the best - flawless finish - and I've used him for years. Located in Wind Gap, PA.
